Dr. Susana A. Estanislao is both a Registered Guidance Counselor and a Registered Psychologist. She has been in the counseling profession for three decades now helping children, adolescents, and adults deal with life challenges and mental health issues. After retirement from De La Salle University, Manila, as an Administrator, Supervisor, Counselor, Testing Coordinator, Researcher, and Faculty member, she sees various clients from In Touch Community Services, Makati, and supervises counselor interns. Likewise, she teaches graduate students and advises thesis writers from St. Scholastica’s College, Manila, and from San Pablo Colleges, Laguna.
She received her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology major in Clinical Counseling from DLSU (graduated with distinction) and has published 24 research studies here and abroad. Her research publications focus on Managing Psychological Distress and Depression, Suicide Prevention, Resilience, Coping with Compassion Fatigue, Lasallian Spirituality, and Counselor Career Development, among others. Over the years, she has been actively involved in different professional organizations, launching conferences, conducting seminars, and facilitating workshops for diverse populations. She is a Master Trainer for the Mental Health Facilitator Program, as certified by the American National Board for Certified Counselors.
