Description
AJ Sunglao is a licensed psychologist with ADHD, a mental health advocate, a public speaker, and a consultant. His psychotherapy practice specializes in supporting his clients through their depression, anxiety, trauma, suicidality, and ADHD. AJ has shared his expertise on various topics related to mental health as a consultant and speaker through various talks, interviews, webinars, and workshops. His consulting work also includes consulting with NGOs and communities in developing community-based mental health interventions.
AJ holds a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Ateneo de Manila University and a master’s degree in Global Mental Health from King’s College London and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. He has also completed prestigious fellowship programs, including the Asian Institute of Management’s Future Bridging Leadership Program and Friedrich Erbert Stiftung’s Academy of Political Management.
In the past nine years, AJ has built a wide range of experiences working with different sectors locally and globally, gaining a unique but grounded perspective on how mental health can be used to support people to grow and flourish. He strongly believes that if mental health is in everyone, it should be everywhere everyone is.
In his free time, he is constantly searching for good food, plays a game called Team Fight Tactics, and tries to stay fit through calisthenics, yoga, and bouldering.
