Mr. Jose (Joey) C. Alejo specializes in psycho-socio-emotional and psycho-spiritual concerns of an individual, marital, and relational concerns, career planning and career development, management, multi-cultural issues, mental toughness training, trauma, and psychological assessment. He is a Registered Guidance Counselor and Psychologist and obtained his master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling, earned doctoral units in Counseling Psychology from De La Salle University.
During his 36 years of counseling practice in the school setting as a university counselor, Jose served as a counselor for law students, graduate and undergraduate students, faculty staff, parents, counseling director, workshop facilitator. He is fluent in both Filipino and English.
One of Jose’s foci is on career development, and on enriching the mental health intervention, by innovating and discovering other innovative and effective therapeutic interventions, individual and toward group therapy enrichment. He is the current president of the Career Development of the Philippines (CDAP). He is also a volunteer and certified mental health first responder of the MHFR and a certified Genos coach on emotional intelligence.
