Description

Abigail L. Gorgonio, RGC, is a licensed Guidance Counselor in the Philippines and an active member of the Philippine Guidance and Counseling Association. She utilizes evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), as well as trauma and grief work.

With broad experience across various age groups—including children, adolescents, young adults, and middle-aged adults—Abigail delivers compassionate, developmentally appropriate mental health support. She also conducts trainings, seminars, and workshops focused on mental health, resilience, counseling, and social-emotional learning.

Currently, Abigail serves as a counselor at Cebu International School and faculty member in the Department of Psychology at the University of San Carlos. She is actively involved in youth development advocacy, particularly for Franciscan scholars, and continues to support community mental health initiatives that began during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her research interests include resilience, counseling, and psychological development. Abigail has presented and published her research at both national and international conferences.
